I'm a freelance journalist, writer, editor, ghostwriter, and researcher. I've written primarily about health and sports as a freelancer, and spent many years writing, editing, and marketing in the AEC and sports nonprofit space. Clients include TIME, U.S. News & World Report, AARP.org, Medscape, Atlas Obscura, espnW, SWIMMER, Outdoor Swimmer magazine, and others. I've also written about science, the environment, history, archaeology, and business. I'm a member in good standing of the American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA), the Association of Health Care Journalists (AHCJ) and the National Association of Science Writers (NASW).

2023 Buck Dawson Authors Award

Presented by the International Swimming Hall of Fame for ghostwriting “A Life Aloft,” Tom Gompf’s Olympic diving memoir published by CG Sports Publishing.
The award is presented to the author of an aquatics-related book for which the book’s content has had a profound educational or entertaining impact on the aquatic disciplines or population in general.

2022 AAOS MORE Award

Hosted by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Media Orthopaedic Reporting Excellence awards recognize accurate reporting of musculoskeletal health news topics.
